National Innovation Agency today unveiled innoOK.com, an innovative web portal specially designed by Internet Marketing Professionals, for connecting entrepreneurs and businesses interested in exploring Thai market of natural products.
Bangkok —November 6, 2008— The National Innovation Agency (NIA) has launched a web portal for information sharing on Thai Natural Products in order to attract foreign investment in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors. The agency aims to promote potential innovative projects in food and bio-related businesses through this initiative. “The focal point of our business is to simplify the innovation process by providing basic information to the potential investors in a fast and easy manner” said NIA's director Supachai Lorlowhakarn. The website has featured a number of topics in the area of Natural indigenous Products that has the potential to be marketed commercially worldwide. Some of these topics have already been launched by various partner organizations.
Currently, the website features several topics, including Pueraria, Plai, GABA or Germinated Brown Rice, Black Ginger, Mangosteen, Chitin and Chitosan, and Rice Bran Oil etc. The website also aims to expand into eco-businesses such as organic farming as huge potential is seen in this segment.
The website offers entry level information for the potential entrepreneurs—both technical information and market study. “Companies do not have to do the basic research for their projects; we have collected the information for them so that they can start right away”, said Mr. Kunawut, the Project Manager of innoOK.com. The information has been generated through the professionals and experts of various fields working in Thai Universities and other research institutes. NIA also offers support to the potential customers during commercialization process of the projects listed on the website.
The website is open to all through a registration system. The content is readily accessible to the registered users on payment.
